Can relate. I once overwrote my 50+ hour save file in a game with a fresh one. A small world collapsed inside me at that moment. After that I always save twice making a backup.

I remember, way back when, I was playing Earthbound on an emulator, and trying to pull my way through the Deep Darkness. Well, I was using savestates on hotkeys to make the whole process of loading faster. Well, I went to save a new one…and loaded an earlier one just like this, losing a lot of progress. Like, back to Summers, meaning I lost…about 2 hours of time, I think. It really sucked.

This reminds me of me deleting my Skyward Sword save when I tried to copy it just in case I ever accidently hit the delete button.
