To clear things out:
1. It's Noel's own assumption that fans might get jealous
2. She reflected on that assumption
3. Potential Holostars collab? (if they start interacting)
I think it has to do with style. some of them are really good at deflecting advances or have really extreme personalities so they aren't in so much danger of getting "shipped" just for collab with someone once. noel is a bit kind and accepting so shes prob afraid of that perception from fans where as girls who are more assertive like fubuki or calli are not really in fear of that.
Whenever topics like this come up, the number of western fans that openly disparage the Japanese fanbase and culture that made hololive possible in the first place really makes me uncomfortable tbh. Perhaps this is just me, but I feel like we are guests sharing something awesome coming from another culture, something that for whatever reason our own culture has proven incapable of creating itself, and it isn't our place to arrogantly and self-righteously impose our own foreign beliefs onto something that doesn't belong to us.
Honestly they should just collab with holostars if they want to, and if they don't, then they don't have to. I think it'll eventually be necessary to grow hololive further, and it would undoubtedly help holostars as well. They'll probably lose subscribers if they do that, but those people aren't really worth keeping around anyway.
What's the name of your outro song?
This clip didn't include the part where Noel said that she used "idol culture" as excuse for her having no confidence interacting with men. Here is other clip which include that part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGZz_zdb7ho
At least we have Fubuki, Choco, Roboco, Matsuri, Calli and all of HoloID
Whoever came up with the naming for the different groups should be knocked upside the head. Like really? You're gonna call the girl group and the umbrella group basically the same thing, but then the boy group gets called something completely different?
They should just rename them so the umbrella group name is Hololive productions, the female idol group is "Hologirls", and the male idol group is "Holoboys". At least then it'd feel like they're all one big group cause right now Nijisanji or VOMS feel like they're more a part of Hololive then the boys do. smh
Personally I'm not too interested in holostars but they can do whatever they want of course. I think it would be cool to at least do the occasional collab, or group collab type thing.
But the can collab with the nijisanji?!? Lol
I wish they collab with their own brothers in their company …we may even get ships lol or funnier moments
The virgin That idol is mine VS The chad those comedians aren't ours
indeed, caw
They haven't jump over the fences
well tamaki counts like male?
Some of the male vtubers are funny and all, too bad that the majority of her fans are cringy weirdos who would get jealous if she did a colab with another dude… smh
Yep. Makes sense.
The girls signed up for this (Idol work) and knew that they couldn't do collabs with men or have (public) relationships with men in RL. You can dislike it, but it's not wrong. It is exactly as it should be since as the stock phrase goes "[X] belongs to all of us".
Japanese fans are fucking weird ffs
Let culture be culture, dont change it even you dont like it. Change 1 culture can effect other culture
"we can change the furture, but dont change the culture"
-someone
idk if some of the fans would react harshly to collabs between them, but disregarding that, it would probably boost holostars' (comparatively low) subscriber count. collabs give talents exposure to each others fans after all
It's just Japanese Idol Culture that can't be understood by international fanbase
Noel's a respectable person. I don't watch her, but this tells me she's a good person imo.
yup. definitely there's a wall between them.
thanks God the ID branch ignored that wall
It depends on the person and their fans, both in how the person portrays themselves and how their fans portray them. I feel like if matsuri were to collab with a holostar there wouldn't be much uproar but if someone like pekora did a collab with a holostar the number of upset people would be more. For a lack of a better word I feel like some people view pekora as more pure.
Mate for one moment i read it as Holostab (✷‿✷)
Just look at Matsuri, Fubuki, Ollie and others no fucks should be given if one person is mentally deranged enough to get actually jealous. Unless somebody is shy like Ayame or does not know how to act with the opposite sex like Pekora, and assuming they want to,nobody should limit themselves over who they can or cannot have fun with.
I see
This "idol culture" is really toxic. Donating money does not mean you own them. It's a voluntary act lmao. I just hope that Hololivers collab with Holostars (or even other vtubers in general) as long as they want to because if we all collectively agree that those toxic fans are just a minority, then fuck them and their shitty mindset.
I mean, if those toxic fans stopped supporting a particular vtuber then it's not the vtuber's loss since they are only a minority. I kinda feel like only less than ~5% are toxic and entitled to their idols. The rest are us that support the girls and guys.
im very happy she said this, i respect her a lot more now. she definitely went up in my ratings since i now know she wont ever collab with a guy.
Matsuri's already done a number of collabs with Holostars members along with tons of Nijisanji collabs.
Fubuki's done some Holostars collabs as well.
I mean, collab with Temma would be the obvious choice.
also they're both taken so no one's gonna be on their doutan kyohi shit—haha jk those kinds of fans will always be shitty
So explain why noel tried to not step on toes,it would benefit holostars more than hololive, because it's not talked about in the western market so they could move in, or they are doin the same thing that they did with hololive and let it happen organically and let the algorithm and fans do the work
meanwhile Kira Kira Family planning an off-collab.
