Amelia's thoughts on clipping her Members Only streams

I'm glad she's cool about it. Clippers help give non-members reasons to why they should become members.

It is a product and shouldn’t be taken away for those who pay but at the same time it’s like saying it’s so amazing you must pay and those who don’t pay to watch don’t deserve to, like it’s not a product, people just watch a regular stream and force money out of them

Someone should put out a note on this since it may be taken out of context. The clip came from Ame's Listen-along unarchived member stream. The keyword here is Unarchived Member Stream. Ame feels bad that members won't be able to watch the stream and was ok for it to be clipped. That doesn't mean it applies to all the member streams that are archived.

Also her approval does not mean it applies to all Hololive girls. She only gave permission for her stream and on this particular situation.

clipping or even re-uploading full members stream as never negatively impacted the youtuber/streamer the only people who complain are the one who paid, that's it, most member only stuff re-uploaded i've seen around as little view-count, can help people who cant afford the membership or in the case the stream inst archived its useful even for the members who missed it.
im a teamates, and for those who disagree its not about respect or morals, its about you being mad that someone somewhere maybe less fortunate than you can enjoy it too.
people clipping/re-uploading (most of the time the owner of the content don't even care) member stuff have always been a thing and will still be, no matter what, you have the privilege to see it live and interact with her and no re-upload could ever take that away so…

She's probably talking here about the unarchived members only stream
and also ame makes the member only stream public after days or weeks anyways.

Clipping literally means, by definition "trimming something". A clip is by the 2nd definition "a short sequence taken from a film or broadcast.". Posting the whole material is not clipping, it's straight up stealing.

I agree with a lot of people here by limiting it to, "See what you're missing?!" short clip. Also avoid songs that are copyrighted.

If you're already doing this, then great! Keep up the excellent work!

imo clipping is fine if 2 criteria are met
1. You're not uploading most of the vod if its members only
2. You're not monetizing the video without permission

#2 is a big one for me, since if youre monetizing clips from others without permission that can get you into serious trouble, and is a bit scummy
