  1. May I add my own take to this topic? (since i see the discussion has become pretty lively around here)

I think Minecraft currently kinda sucks at teaching the player how to play.
It has for years pretty much completely relied on the community to teach each other how to play, and only recently started trying to correct that.

For example they recently introduced the recipe book which tells you how to craft every item in the game.
But before that you would basically have to try a thousand combinations to get it right, or just google "how to craft (…….) in Minecraft"
or option #3: you'd just never know the item existed in the first place.

However with brewing, enchanting, redstone, taming (etc. etc.) there still isn't any sort of in game help as to how these mechanics work. Even some of the most experienced Minecraft players have to pull up a guide every once in a while.
(Like, who has the time to memorize every single potion recipe in the game?)

There's also the current issue with combat.
Which is the issue that you could (and i've seen it happen) go months and months playing Minecraft, and never notice the fact that there is a cool down on damage everytime you swing a weapon or tool.
At one point it really was the case that the faster you click, the faster you kill your enemy. But now clicking faster actually kills your enemy slower. And many players aren't going to pick up on that very quickly.
(thankfully this issue is getting fixed soon. Well…. "soon".)

Pretty much i'm trying to say that it's a bit frustrating seeing the community be told they shouldn't teach each other how to play, when that's how it's been for years now, and the game itself hasn't given much of an alternative yet.

I look forward to Minecraft become easier for new players in the future, but for now i only ask for a little bit of patience and understanding from the anti-backseating side while minecraft continues to use us as a tutorial. It's frustrating for us too.

Of course this isn't to excuse 100% of backseating as there is still many choices in minecraft that are only fun if you make them yourself. I also don't support spreading misinformation or trolling since those do nothing but hurt the playing experience for the player.

  2. people forget that without the backseaters, we get 3 hour door streams. Which is fine, but you can tell that her goldfish attention span bothers her sometimes so it's sometimes needed.

  3. I'm 100% with Gura, but also conjuring the idea of Dora actually going the wrong way after you shout the answer was the funniest fuckin' thing this entire stream

  4. i think the problem with this hololive software is what it doesn't do. The faces just don't really match the emotion nor motion. still needs alot of work. One example being at the end when she sneezes: there needs to be more programmable states for the eyes. In this anime software, it seems to not tell the difference between an eye being open fully, vs someone opening their eyes wider than they normally would.

not only that, but the turning of the head seems to be off. Too exaggerated perhaps. It's like she turns her head slightly, but instead of looking normal head bob and movement, it's twitchy.

  5. Notice how her example implies the backseaters are actually correct and that she is indeed doing something wrong. Knowing this she still goes through with it because why not?
